As a passionate home cook, I have always loved experimenting with new recipes. However, I often found myself feeling overwhelmed by the time and effort required to plan my meals. I was tired of attempting different apps, and wanted a better way to stay organized and save time in planning and managing the recipes and weekly plans. That's why I decided to create my own cooking app. I wanted to create a tool that would make meal planning and grocery shopping easier and more efficient for home cooks like myself. I knew that there were already a lot of cooking apps out there, but I felt that none of them truly captured the enjoyable and personalized experience of home cooking.

So, I set out to create an app that would allow users to crowdsource recipes from any website, and use advanced parsing and normalization algorithms to ensure that ingredient lists were accurate and consistent. As I worked on the app, I began to realize that it could be so much more than just a meal planner.

I wanted a simplicity of HelloFresh combined with a Swiss knife of features. So, some key features of this app include:

1. Crowdsource recipes from any website: Allow users to search for and import recipes from a variety of sources, including other websites, blogs, and social media platforms.
2. Advanced parser and normalization of ingredients: Use natural language processing and machine learning algorithms to accurately parse and normalize ingredient lists from various sources, ensuring that users have a consistent and accurate list of ingredients for each recipe.
3. Personalized meal planning: In contrast to usual approach where the app asks to input your dietary preferences and restrictions, my app should learn the ingredients you use, recipes you cook and suggest the recipes you will love to cook.
4. Recipe customization: This feature allows users to modify or adjust existing recipes on the fly, or create their own if needed.
5. Recipe organization: Allow users to save their favorite recipes and use artificial tags to get rid of organization nightmare.
6. Authentic design with love to traditions: This feature incorporates an authentic and visually appealing design that celebrates and pays tribute to traditional cooking techniques and cuisines.
